A NEW STATE OF THE ART GONDOLA WILL CONNECT STUBEN, LECH AND ST ANTON
Located in the tiny hamlet of Stuben - one of the original Arlberg villages - House Hannes Schneider is the former childhood home of ski pioneer and legend Hannes Schneider.
January 17thAustria

Brought to life by the owners of Hotel Kristiania in Lech, the chalet has been lovingly transformed into a stylish alpine townhouse whilst maintaining its rich history. The son of a cheese maker, Hannes Schneider was a ski instructor, world traveller, best-selling author, inventor of the stem-turn and the Arlberg-squat, one of the founders of Ski Club Arlberg and star of 15 ski movies. Harking back to the glamorous era of skiing, the chalet design fuses mid-century classics with modern boho-chic pieces. Original fifties features have been retained but sumptuous fabrics, modernist furnishings, beautiful antiques, and striking art have been combined with aged woods, natural stones and traditional Austrian details to create something truly unique. Spread over four floors and sleeping up to 20, the chalet spans 400 square metres and has a dedicated cinema and games room, as well as a large dining room, kitchen and seven bedrooms. The master suites all boast cosy drawing rooms and en-suite bathrooms. The chalet also has a dedicated spa area with a bio sauna and hot tub. House Hannes Schneider has ski-in ski-out access via the Albona ski area and is just a minute’s walk from the Albona Ski Lift, with access to the entire Arlberg region, one of the world’s best ski areas with over 280km of pistes. Stuben itself will see an exciting revival, thanks to a new state of the art gondola opening for the 2016/17 season, linking it to Lech-Zürs and St. Anton. The chalet comes with a chef, maid, butler and a driver plus a dedicated concierge service, which will provide a comprehensive service pre and during guests’ stay arranging anything from childcare to heli-skiing.
