A TIME TO INDULGE IN DECADENT DINING

With roaring fireplaces aglow and the comforting aroma of cinnamon and cloves, The Lanesborough is the most decadent setting for Christmas lunches. A festive lunch menu will be available at Michelin-starred Céleste from 24^th November to 23^rd December for groups of four or more. Guests will first enjoy truffle artichoke soup with a foie gras emulsion or Scottish smoked salmon with exotic yuzu dressing. Traditional roast turkey with winter vegetables or cod cooked in papillote Jerusalem artichoke mousseline follows, ending on a sweet note with Aubenas chestnut, meringue and pear sorbet or a golden chocolate nugget with grue de cocoa ice cream. On the day itself, a lavish five-course Christmas lunch fashioned by Michelin-starred Chefs Eric Frechon and Florian Favario will be served in the palatial setting of Céleste, while festive afternoon tea will be served in The Withdrawing Room, with Christmas pastries and cool Taittinger Champagne. ‘TIS THE SEASON FOR THE SWEET-TOOTHED

From 24^th November to 30^th December, The Lanesborough’s award-winning Afternoon Tea will take a seasonally-sweet festive twist as Head Pastry Chef, Gabriel Le Quang reimagines Christmas classics. Served in the spectacular setting of Céleste, those taking tea can expect festive treats such as spicy Christmas muffins, apple and cinnamon doughnuts, mulled wine and pear cake, chocolate coconut fingers, orange mousse spheres and Croustillant caramel sable, alongside festive favourites such as mince pies, chestnut tart and praline Rocher, served with a chilled glass of Taittinger Champagne. On 9^th and 16^th December, the festive afternoon tea will be accompanied by a live carol choir between 15:30 – 17:30. Deck the halls and dust off your festive Christmas best – The Lanesborough’s luxurious private rooms are perfect for grandeur and getting into the spirit of Christmas, be it for a sleep cocktail and canapé reception or a sumptuous, three-course dinner celebration. FESTIVE FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY

There are few things more magical than waking up on Christmas morning in the company of family – especially with little ones in tow eager to unwrap their gifts, and a personal butler popping by at any given moment with surprises for the whole family… Christmas at The Lanesborough is all about creating special memories, from stockings bursting at the seams with gifts delivered at midnight, to a chauffeur-driven classic car ride to a nearby traditional carol service. On Christmas Eve, guests will enjoy mulled wine and hot chocolate and marshmallows, help wrapping last-minute gifts from their personal butler, and a chauffeur-driven car transfer to St. Paul’s Church for an evening service, followed by hot toddies in the timeless Library Bar. On the big day, those in residence will wake up to personalised stockings for children, champagne delivered by the butler, breakfast in bed, a visit from Father Christmas in the Games Room and a five-course Christmas feast in Céleste. The Queen’s Speech will of course be aired in the St George’s Room at 15:00. This year, The Lanesborough opened its own lifestyle members’ Club & Spa, providing the city with a luxury club for life.  Spread over 18,000ft², it offers a 360° integrated approach to wellbeing in collaboration with resident experts who are ‘best in class’ and leaders in their respective fields. The Lanesborough Club & Spa is opening its doors to non-members for the festive season, and welcoming ladies for the ultimate in party season pampering with Champagne, canapés and a choice of manicure or blow dry from Daniel Galvin Jnr’s newly established salon inside the hotel. The ‘Party & Pamper’ package includes a glass of chilled Taittinger Champagne with healthy canapés upon arrival; full use of the Club & Spa facilities, including thermal areas and hydro-pool; the choice of a manicure or blow-dry for each guest; and a two-course lunch in the Club & Spa Restaurant. BECOME A ‘WINTER WARRIOR’

To shape-up pre or post-party season and reverse the effects of festive overindulgence, The Lanesborough Club & Spa aims to help members restore the mind and discover a happier, healthier approach to health, fitness and overall wellbeing this winter. The Club & spa is offering a bespoke three-month membership aptly named the ‘Winter Warrior’ membership. The new offering allows guests full access to ‘one of the most advanced fitness facilities operated by any hotel in the country’ for a full three months, as well as one of Bodyism’s signature ‘Body Oracle’ assessments.  Over the three months, short-term members will enjoy 30 personal training sessions with Bodyism’s elite team of Performance Specialists, as well as one session with the man himself – Bodyism founder, James Duigan.  In addition, members will receive three sessions with The Lanesborough Club & Spa’s highly skilled practitioners, as well as three sessions with a resident, expert dietician, epitomising the Club & Spa’s bespoke 360° integrated approach to wellbeing.
