Bernar Venet has selected some of his most extraordinary cor-ten steel sculptures to be exhibited at both properties, showcasing the hotels’ historic and iconic grounds. The rust finish of each piece of work compliments the natural Provençal environment, and perfectly reflects the geometric patterns and symmetrical gardens, found at both hotels.

Bernar, a local to the region, rose to prominence in the late Sixties through the avant-garde art scene in New York and quickly became instrumental in developing a radical new proposition in art involving the use of mathematics and scientific language.  Bernar’s insatiable curiosity and desire to push both his own limits and the frontiers of art have led to him make a significant impact on the development of contemporary art.  The partnership with Eden Being perfectly exemplifies Oetker Collection’s drive to work and support local artisans and businesses with the aim to give back to the local economy by providing experiences that are inspiring to their guests. The Venet Foundation’s collection and exhibitions are open to the public in the summer months in Le Muy, just an hour’s drive from both Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and Château Saint-Martin.

As well as the exhibition, guests can experience an exclusive visit to the Venet Foundation’s summer program*.  Founded in 2014, the Venet Foundation showcases a culmination of more than 50 years of artistic creation as well as an extensive art collection that is emblematic of minimal and conceptual art.  Guests will have the opportunity to explore the grounds and discover Bernar Venet’s work in an ideal setting.
