Demonstrating considerable confidence in the popularity of Paphos whilst celebrating its status as European Capital of Culture 2017, Thanos Hotels have invested heavily in the Annabelle and Almyra this year. Both hotels will relaunch in April 2017 following refurbishments, and are set to transform with new pools, rooms and suites, terraces and revamped restaurants.

The two properties follow the lead of sister hotel Anassa, which relaunched in 2016, propelling it back onto the world’s travel hotlists. Thanos Hotels’ continued investment marks a new phase for the group, and with this year’s focus on Paphos, hails the significance of the city as European Capital of Culture 2017.
Almyra offers a laidback and elegant take on Mediterranean luxury that is perfect for young couples and fun-loving families. With outstanding restaurants, award-winning Almyraspa, full-throttle kids club, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and 189 spacious rooms designed by Parisian decorator Joelle Pleot, Almyra is the perfect place for guests to unwind in style by the sea. 2017 will see the hotel injected with new life with room renovations and the exciting additions of a stunning new 33m x 7m infinity pool overlooking the sea, a new design-led pool house for shade, an open fireplace for warmth, four new terrace areas and private sunbeds for sunbathing. The furnishings will sport clean lines, bold geometric patterns and hues of the sea, while the new adjoining Terrace Sea View rooms will feature expansive private terraces overlooking the new pool. The Lobby Restaurant is being transformed with a new name, Aeras, which will also reveal a fresh aesthetic and new menu, serving Asian fusion dishes sourced from the freshest local fish and seafood.
Annabelle was the first ever five-star hotel to open in Paphos. Annan belle’s wine cellar, bar and sun lounging area will all be injected with a new lease of life, as will Amorosa, Annabelle’s signature fine dining restaurant. Amorosa will be transformed to connect indoor and outdoor dining spaces, with new look driftwood-inspired furnishings, bold patterned fabrics and luxurious leather accents. Amorosa will become Annabelle’s stylish spot to enjoy cocktails and al fresco dining day and night, with a brand new menu.
